The Flip Chair by Kitizo Furniture
Owning a rocking chair provides more than just a comforting motion for your child, it is also a beneficial method of developing balance and rhythm. Studies have also shown that rocking helps children with ADD/ADHD focus on the task at hand.
We have designed The Flip Chair to be the perfect height for standard bathroom vanities, tables, and counters so your child can start developing the confidence and independence they need to start performing regular tasks with ease.
Sometimes a solid seat is necessary for tasks that require a calm, steady body. The seat option on The Flip Chair gives your child a solid, comfortable base for them to do everything from arts and crafts to playing with toys and blocks.
Delight from start to finish
We have specifically selected the highest-quality wood materials for you to design and build your furniture. Learn more about Kitizo’s wood offerings and our advice on how you can add color and finish to customize your Kitizo furniture:
North American Ash
Ash is a sustainably managed hardwood from natural forests of North America. It has excellent environmental credentials and is popular with woodworkers for its light brown color and pronounced grain patterns. It also:
- Is very hard and stable, which makes it perfect for furniture.
- Glues, stains, and finishes very well, meaning your furniture will endure for years to come.
Baltic Birch Plywood
Baltic Birch Plywood is among the highest-quality sheet goods available, which is why we offer our furniture in this economical but attractive material. Baltic birch’s core is unlike traditional plywood; the layers of inner plies are 1.5 mm-thick solid birch veneer, crossbanded, and laminated. And because we think indoor air quality matters, the product we use meets California Air Resources Board (or CARB) Phase 2 Standards. It is:
- Strong and stable
- Capable of forming clean joints
